AI for small businesses

What could AI do for your team?

The answer depends on your business. I’d rather see how you work before recommending a tool.

Getting started

Show me how you do it today.

Preparing a quotation. Copying customer details from a PDF. Finding an answer in old documents. Show me a task like that and we can discuss where AI might help and what we would need.

We also look at the less obvious questions: is the data usable, who checks the result, and does it fit the software your team already works with?

Some examples

Here are a few things we could look at.

Preparing quotations

Collecting information from an enquiry and drafting a response. Your colleague checks the content and the price before anything goes to the customer.

Processing documents

Extracting information from invoices, forms or other documents so it doesn’t all have to be entered again by hand.

Finding information

Searching your own manuals and procedures, with a reference to the document the answer came from.

Learning to use AI

Practising with your team on emails, writing or other everyday tasks. We also discuss when not to rely on the result.

Putting it to work

I help with implementation too.

If we find a suitable application, we agree what the first version needs to do. I set up the tools, build any connections and test it with the people who will use it.

The examples above are possibilities, not a promise that they will work for every business. Sometimes ordinary automation is simpler. Sometimes the information needs sorting out first. That’s part of the advice too.

Already have a specific automation project in mind? I also build AI agents and integrations.

Practical questions

A few things you might be wondering.

Do I need to buy new software?

Not necessarily. We look at what you already use first. We discuss any extra subscriptions or other costs before committing to them.

What about confidential information?

Before setting anything up, we agree what information the tool may process and who gets access. If legal advice is needed, we involve a specialist.

How big does the assignment need to be?

You can start with one question or one task. We agree the approach, timing and fee beforehand. After an initial review, you decide whether to continue.
